St. Matthew’s High School and the Christmas Fiesta Parade

I found this little booklet in an antique shop last month and knew we had to add it to our collection! Apparently, the city issued booklet invitations to the schools who participated in the 1939 Christmas Fiesta parade to come back for the 1940 parade. Included were actual photographs of their school’s entry in the previous year’s parade. We have a couple of photos of the 1939 parade that were in the Bish Mathis scrapbooks and I shared the link to them last year. My boss has the idea that Bish got a booklet too and took out the photos to put in their scrapbook. Enjoy this little gem of Monroe history! The photos have also been scanned individually and I will be highlighting some (if not all) of them in the next few weeks!
