Take a look at the bottom left photo. I had never seen a photo of this plantation! Of course, Bon Air Drive is named for this place.

Where along Bon Aire Drive would the plantation been located? Northwest of the college, or east?

I am unsure just exactly where the house itself was. I did find a description of the land itself that made up the plantation on a Facebook post about it on “If You Grew up on the Southside of Monroe”: ” It started at Bayou DeSiard on the bend directly across from where the old Showtown Drive In was, extended South through the middle of the current airport, across the V’burg, Monroe & Shreveport RR to South of what is now I-20.”
It sounds like it was next to the Children’s Home or in that general vicinity.
