The above hospital stood at 3001 South Grand Street (where the Riverside Nursing Home is now) in the early twentieth century. Don’t let the sanitarium part lead you astray. That was what they called hospitals then. If you are interested in birth records from this facility, the Ouachita Parish Public Library’s Special Collection Department has them from 1925 to 1954.
