Back in 1935, what would become ULM was only 3 years old. The college was referred to as Northeast Center Louisiana State University. The college was under the leadership of LSU and LSU was one of Governor Long’s pet projects. It made total sense then, when Huey visited Monroe, he caught a game at the stadium! Two photos of him were included in the 1935 Chacahoula.
