I bet it’s the edge of the facade of the building on the riverside corner of Jackson and Harrison – the shape reminds me of the pediment of 110 Saint John Street

Is it the roof of the building across the street where the picture was taken?

Maybe, but it just looks…off.

I agree that it appears to be a roof and eaves. On the far-right side is some kind of scrollwork decoration. May be an artifact from taking the picture (double exposure) or from printing the photo or maybe when the photo was scanned.
