A couple of weeks ago, I discovered that the City of West Monroe has created a searchable plot map of the known graves at Hasley Cemetery. You can search for a name here: https://www.cityofwestmonroe.com/156/Hasley-Cemetery and see exactly where the grave is in the cemetery. I know older plot records (pre 1970’s) were lost, so those older burials were relied upon by using headstone information. There are probably hundreds that will never be known. This is a great tool I wish other cemeteries had! Well done West Monroe!
Bonus info: Ancestry.com now has scanned Louisiana state death certificates from 1825 up until 1974. Keep in mind, anything pre 1915 or so, came from New Orleans deaths. You can access Ancestry and the death certificates at any branch of the Ouachita Parish Public Library!
