Look how absolutely gorgeous Monroe’s old houses once were! This stood at 600 Riverside Drive, which is now the site of the Family Justice Center. This is what I would call one of those old “Painted Ladies” homes, which were popular in Victorian times. They were usually painted in bright colors. You can still see many of this style in Natchez. According to local lore, this home was torn down in the 1950’s.
