The Louis Lock room in the Main Branch Library, is named for the above gentleman. He was drilling near the turn of the century when he hit the famous Monroe Gas Field, which was the largest in the country. Unfortunately, the Spanish Flu epidemic got him in Texas and he is buried in the Jewish Cemetery. The above photo is the only one I have ever seen of him which hangs in the room named for him.
