This is what is called a “Real Photo Postcard” showing the old Brown Paper Mill in Bawcomville back in the 1960’s or so. I grew up in Bastrop which had a paper mill. Most who have lived near a mill will remember the awful smell…like a dirty diaper. Area residents would say, “Oh, that is just the smell of money!” No thanks!
