For the past two years or so, I have made it a goal of mine to post something every day. Every time I begin to run out of ideas, I find something new to post. My trip to the Archives gave me weeks of things to post. I was able to schedule posts all the way through March. Unfortunately, like a lot of you, this Corona virus has put a crimp in my plans. I have spent the last two weeks at home, away from work and my research tools (I have medical conditions that make the virus particularly deadly for me). My only ways to access my blog is through my phone and Kindle. This hunt and peck typing is for the birds! Anyway, until this is all over and I am back at my desk, I will have to suspend my daily blog. Until then, check out the Louisiana Digital Library site. My boss is still at work loading things. She has finished uploading all our WPA papers and has now moved on to uploading our photo collection. Also check out OPPL’s Genealogy page. If you have a library card, you can access Newspapers.com and read through some of the old Monroe papers. There are links to several genealogy databases there on our page as well. Until then, stay safe at home, wash your hands and I will see you on the other side!
A temporary hiatus.
