Bob Hope Comes to Monroe

This is a full page ad asking locals to buy War Bonds. This was in 1943, in the middle of WWII. Everyone who did buy a bond, got a free ticket to see Bob Hope at the Neville auditorium! Bob came to Monroe several times over the years, performing at Selman Field, Neville Auditorium and the Civic Center. My parents have a blurry Super 8 film of him at the Civic Center when he came in the early 70’s!
