Father Enaut, St. Francis Hospital Benefactor.
Father Enaut lived and worked in Monroe most of his life. He took over duties as Priest of St. Matthew church when Father Gergeaud died in the 1870s. He saw a need for a hospital and donated his own land and money to start one.

This is a very rare early photo of the original St. Francis Hospital. It was built in 1912 due to the efforts of Father Enaut of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
