Last month, I went to visit the Biedenharn Museum and Garden, and for the Mardi Gras season, they had some past Krewe of Janus royal costumes on display. I think they will be up a few days more if you want to go see them! What immediately caught my eye was a painting of Kay LaFrance, Queen Janus the First done by renowned painter Don Cincone. It is beautiful! I took a picture of it and thought it would be appropriate to share today, since it is Fat Tuesday! To see more of Mr. Cincone’s work, check out his website here: https://www.doncincone.com/ . He has significantly changed his style since the mid 80’s and the videos on his site tell that story.
