Riverside Pavilion at the Salt Water Natatorium

This is the second postcard I bought. This, of course, is the Riverside Pavilion at the Salt Water Natatorium. I have written about it’s history before. What caught my eye was the angle of the photo and the signs. In the foreground is the water slide into the pool. Ladies and gents sit along the side of the pool watching friends and family splash in the pool. From the attire, I would guess this was taken in the 1910s. I zoomed in to read the signs and had a good laugh! The signs above the left side door state that lunch and cold drinks were for sale and you could rent ladies and gents bathing suits! YUCK! The little white building on the right states you could leave your valuables there for safe keeping!
