Probably one of the best known snake oil salesmen was Senator Dudley LeBlanc and his Hadacol “medicine”. As part of his publicity, he hired some of the biggest stars to tour around to promote the product. Just one Hadacol box top was the price of admission to the Monroe show. The above ad was another aspect of the tour. You had to have pretty girls to draw a crowd don’t you know? Just look at those names. Minnie Pearl, Mickey Rooney, Roy Acuff…. wow.
