Grand Street in 1890

From the same issue of the News Star as Monday’s post, comes this clipping.

I REALLY want a clearer view of this photo! the view is standing on the railroad tracks where they cross over North Grand and looking down Grand street towards the courthouse. The building on the left is now the grassy area across the street from the old Southern Hardware/Poolside Shop and the triangular parking lot most people use when they visit Restaurant Cotton. Almost every building in this picture is gone now. WOW!
