We recently received a collection of local concert photos and I have been researching when they performed here. I’m not at liberty to go into detail yet about the collection, but when I am, you will be the first to know!
In my research on one of the artists, I found this ad for concerts at the Civic Center while the fair was going on. My mouth fell open and I shook my head in shock at the music legends listed here! Jerry Clower was a comedy legend! Ike and Tina Turner were also supposed to perform one night, but apparently something happened. $30 would have gotten you premium seats for all of them!
