Probably one of the most well known Generals Monroe has ever known, General Claire Chennault left a huge impact in Monroe. As part of the library’s collection, Ouachita Parish Public Library’s Special Collections department is the repository of a few pictures of the great General. They have been scanned into the Louisiana Digital Library Collection.
